VASA's InBody Scans

The InBody scanning machine is used to measure the body’s composition. Through a method called bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), the scanner sends a small current through the body and records measurements of body fat, water weight, lean mass, and more. This type of scan is easy, quick, non-invasive, painless, and doesn’t pose any potential risks or side effects. InBody scans are an accurate reflection of your body’s current state and can produce data points that are far more useful and precise than traditional measurement methods like body mass index (BMI).

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS

Tracking your body’s total weight, water weight, muscle mass, and fat levels can provide an in-depth look into your body composition. Over time, as you work out and modify your exercise routine, you can compare your current scans to previous ones to see how much muscle you’ve built and fat you’ve lost. Being able to see these two distinct measurements is much more helpful than simply looking at the number on a traditional scale. Because muscle weighs more than fat, at-home bathroom scales can be misleading and won’t properly indicate your physical progress.

HOW TO USE INBODY SCANS

IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS

All VASA members receive a complimentary 60-minute Personal Training Consultation, which includes an InBody scan. At the beginning of the Consultation, the Personal Trainer will walk you to the machine where you’ll remove shoes, socks, and extra clothing. Step on the machine and follow the instructions on the screen—it will guide you through the placement of your feet, hands, and body. Once the test is complete, your Personal Trainer will explain your results, giving you a better understanding of your current body composition. STUDIO members and those with Personal Training packages have access to unlimited InBody scans, which will help you track your progress over time.
