Without a structured recovery routine, your body’s tired muscles won’t be able to properly rest, rebuild, and get stronger. Most VASA locations offer sauna and steam rooms to help you unwind and restore your body and mind. For a drier recovery, head to the sauna. If you’re looking for a warm but humid recovery option, check out the steam room.

Saunas and steam rooms offer a variety of health benefits that can help you live a more comfortable life. Exposing your body to these heat sources can improve circulation, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, clear congestion, help reduce acne, promote recovery, boost the immune system, and loosen any stiff or rigid joints. However, because the sauna and steam features can be particularly warm, be sure to stay hydrated before, during, and after your session and abide by the time limit regulations for a healthy and enjoyable post-workout recovery session.
HOW TO USE THE SAUNA & STEAM ROOMS
Before you head to the sauna or steam room, grab your towel and take a quick rinse in one of the showers located in the locker rooms. Light workout clothes or swimsuits are required in the sauna and steam rooms. Feel free to wear flip flops or go barefoot and consider bringing a bottle of water with you to stay hydrated. Enjoy the steam or sauna for up to 15 minutes, and you’ll leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated!
