Summer grilling is the best way to bring everyone together with delicious food and great times! And if you make a little extra, you’re setting yourself up for meal prep success! These summer barbecue marinades are perfect to spice up your recipes and make hitting your protein intake a little easier. For all the recipes, mix the ingredients together and marinate your meat, fish, or veggies for at least 2-3 hours before grilling.

 

 

TRADITIONAL BARBECUE MARINADE
Best for chicken wings, burgers, and ribs

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup barbeque sauce of choice
  • ¼ cup Italian Dressing
  • ¼ cup honey, agave or sweetener of choice
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

 

 

BALSAMIC GLAZE
Best for chicken, veggies, and steak

INGREDIENTS

  • ⅓ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp basil
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp parsley
  • ¼ tsp rosemary

 

CILANTRO LIME GLAZE
Best for steak, chicken, and pork

INGREDIENTS

  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp lime zest
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup honey, agave, or sweetener of choice
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

  • ¼ cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 Tbsp honey or agave
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice

 

MAPLE DIJON MARINADE
Best for pork and chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary

 

 

SWEET AND SPICY MARINADE
Best for pork or steak

  • ¼ cup red chili paste or Sriracha
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ginger
