Trish MacAskill

General Counsel

Trish brings more than two decades of legal and business leadership experience, with deep expertise in franchise law, regulatory compliance, risk management, contracts, and corporate governance. She is known for serving as a trusted business partner to executive teams, aligning legal strategy with company goals, navigating complex transactions, and supporting organizations through periods of growth and expansion.

Most recently, Trish served as Special Counsel at Akerman LLP, where she advised clients on franchising, M&A, contract negotiations, governance, and regulatory compliance, including transactions valued at more than $50 million. Prior to that, she served as General Counsel for Floyd’s 99 Barbershops and The Gart Companies and as Vice President of Legal Affairs for GOLFTEC, where she helped support the company’s growth from 40 to more than 200 locations and its expansion into international markets. Trish earned her JD from the University of Denver College of Law and is a Certified Franchise Executive.
