Pumpkin Spice Protein Balls

Still in your pumpkin spice era? We’ve got you covered! These pumpkin spice protein balls are a perfect snack when you’re in the fall mood and want to increase your protein intake. This sweet treat will keep you satisfied and are perfect to bring with you when you’re out and about. Plus, they are a great addition to any lunch box or as an after-school snack!


  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats
  • ½ cup vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Tbsp ground flax seed
  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 6 Tbsp pumpkin puree
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • Optional: ½ cup dried cranberries, ½ cup pecans, or ½ cup shredded coconut


  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients (oats, protein powder, ground flax seed, and chia seeds) until combined.
  3. Add the pumpkin puree, honey, almond butter, and spices. Mix until combined.
  4. Fold chocolate chips into the mixture until they are dispersed evenly.
  5. Scoop and roll into 1.5-inch balls and place on parchment paper.
  6. Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before eating.
  7. Optional: Before placing in the refrigerator, roll in shredded coconut.
