Two Mood-Boosting Smoothies
The sunny days of spring have us excited for summer, but we’re bracing ourselves for that final winter storm. When you need a little dash of sunshine, make one of these mood-boosting smoothies. They taste delicious and are sure to bring a smile to your face.
Mood Boosting Ingredients
Bananas: High in vitamin B6 with a great combination of natural sugars and fiber that can help lower blood sugar!
Berries: High in antioxidants, vitamin C, and fiber—great for helping reduce stress and overall health.
Spinach: High in natural energy boosters including B vitamins, magnesium, and iron.
Greek Yogurt: Yogurt is packed with B12 and protein, a perfect combo to help keep you full longer.
Chocolate: The antioxidants in chocolate can help boost serotonin levels, which will make you feel happy.
Almonds: Almonds contain protein, magnesium, fiber, and vitamin E to help satisfy hunger.
Berry Blast Smoothie
Throw these ingredients into a blender and enjoy!
- 1 banana
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen raspberries
- ½ cup spinach
- ⅓ cup vanilla or plain Greek yogurt (optional)
- ½ milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp honey
Chocolate Delight Smoothie
- 2 frozen bananas
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cup milk
- 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1-2 tbsp almond butter
Blend all ingredients together, pour into a glass, and enjoy. This is great for dessert, too! We recommend cutting the ingredients in half if you’re enjoying it after a meal.
